It seems that the video servers for iris have been updated or have been fixed. Now I only have 2.0GB of video that I can save and with the update to the cameras that is gone in about 2 to 3 days.

I watched a clip from this morning and noticed that it appears that about

5 seconds of video is buffered into the clip. I say that because I have a

rule to record video when the door to my shop is opened.

I entered the shop through another path so the door had not been opened

in over 12 hours, but when I watched the video there is clearly a 5 full

seconds before the door opened recorded.

That's good and I wish we had the ability to set that buffer time to

say 5, 10, 15, 20, or 30 seconds.

It's been at 2 GB for as long as I can remember, but it will allow to store a lot more.  They don't seem to be enforcing a limit because I've had mine up over 800% several times before deleting.

I saw that a couple times too and worried I would get hit with some extra charge.

I thought the idea was to drop the oldest clips off to make room to store new video

so you should never go over your 2GB limit. By adjusting your camera settings you

could control how much history was stored in a round about way. You'd sacrifice

quality for time but you'd have a choice.

I've never been a big fan of the push for parity. I don't want the same obsolete functionality, I want bigger, better and more than I ever had with V1!

I hope for more than parity myself. I would like for it to at least do what it used to do first though.
