    Iris Wireless Security Camera

It essentially turns it off except for live streaming. I have mine outside on the front porch so it doesn’t constantly record like it would do inside. Would be nice if iris could schedule it but since it is web connected and not hub connected, I don’t know if they can do that.

    Iris Wireless Security Camera

There is, but it’s manual. Go to settings of the camera and turn sensitivity to off. It hibernates the camera but you manually have to turn it back on to record by setting the sensitivity again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You have 90 days to return them, I have 30 days left on mine. Still haven’t decided to keep them or return them yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Shut Down?

I don’t think we would have seen that if it wasn’t going to happen. Not trying to be pessimistic but stuff like that just doesn’t create itself. Maybe that’s if there isn’t a buyer? The plot thickens. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    V3 Smart Plug

Agreed. I purchased two around Christmas since I allocated the ones from the previous year to other task and noticed that first thing. I put them on the Christmas tree and a window candle so I already knew it was 9 watts and 1 watt. I am sure they don’t repeat Z-Wave also, but don’t know 100%. I will be sticking to the V2 if I need anymore, for sure. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yep sure do. Glad you got it working. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

2nd Gen IRIS Hub died a few days ago.

Oh yeah, that’s the best part is the on battery pairing. The green LED won’t be on but it will indeed pair on battery and if I’m WiFi even better.

2nd Gen IRIS Hub died a few days ago.

Remember to setup the V3 without the Ethernet cable plugged in if you want to ever use it on WiFi (you will when pairing your devices again since you can take the hub to the device for the 10ft rule). If not then you have to call support to get WiFi enabled, unless they corrected this lately. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    V3 keypad

I’m sure it is. V2 battery life was fixed by giving support a call and having the firmware rolled back on it. There are some threads on this site about it. There was an older and newer release of the V2 and it effected the older ones, that’s why you have to call. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    GE Light switches reversing

I have tried several times on several different switches and the on, on, off never does anything with the LED on the switches. V1 used to let us change that, would be nice if the would put that back in V2

    Yale Assure 256 Deadbolt

Click the + in the upper right Add a Person, Partial Access, Contacts or Manually, Select how you know this person, create a PIN code (this will be used in the lock), Phone Number, Next, done with this step. Click the doors and locks card off the homescreen, access at the top (shaded), click the lock you want to modify access to, edit at the top right, and check beside the persons name that you added above to give them access to the lock. This will update the lock and you can turn on and off access to the lock with the locks and doors card as you wish. This allows you to add a person to your account, but them not having to create an iris account, basically just creating a user on your account.

    Contact Sensors Dropping and others

Anyone else have a lot of their contact sensors V2 drop offline this morning and other zigbee devices? I rebooted my hub and some came back online and now others are dropping off. A V1 keyfob was also a casualty but has came back online after the hub reboot. I am just going to give it time to level out but didn't know if I was the only one.

    V3 hubtear down.

Yes it has a USB port on the bottom. I posted pictures of it in another post a while back. Post #32 “Iris 3.0 (Yes, it exists)” topic

What it does, is everytime you go into the camera card it turns on the cameras so they can start streaming faster. This also causes a 10 second clip to record, so if you look at the timestamp of the clip, I'm sure that is when you went into the camera card. My sensitivity is set to med and it seems to be good.

    It’s a hardware limitation I do believe, software can’t fix it [emoji853]

IRIS Being shut down by Lowe's??

I am wondering if I should return my V3 hub and 2 new cameras while I am still in the 90 day window. I would hate to see that money poured down the drain if they do shut it down. I can always fire my V2 back up.

IRIS Being shut down by Lowe's??

Hi, We have an official FAQ here: https://community.irisbylowes.com/t5/News-Announcements/In-response-to-Lowe-s-announcement-to-sell-I... There will be further news when a buyer for Iris is announced. Iris is NOT shutting down, and you can continue to expect the Iris service to operate just as it does now (and to be able to purchase Iris equipment at Lowe's). Iris is personally a very important part of my life and I rely on it to protect my family. We are not going anywhere. -Mike

So I am not impressed at all with the battery life of these cameras. I have one of them sitting in the living room that I had set to record today after we left. I guess it recorded 5 10 second clips and then I turned the motion off when I got home. The camera is already down to 89% so I would say 15% drop a day with very light use. My other camera on the front porch lasted two days and until 6pm today before I started receiving the critical battery alarms on it so on 2.5 days it is being charged again. I am thinking with that one, that I was playing with it a lot and maybe that is it but not that much for it to already be dead. I am going to charge it again to 100% and see how long it lasts again. Oh and also it says the blue light means it is almost charged but not quite, well that comes on when it is plugged in no matter what. 20% and it was still on. The webpage will show you the exact % the camera battery is but the app shows “OK” as always. These are going to have to be plugged in 24/7 if they are going to last 2-3 days per charge and I will probably return them and hook up the Lorex for 1080p.
