    Question on Smart Plug Repeaters

We are talking about the V2 smart plug. For the zwave repeater to work correct in the V2 smart plug it has to be paired near the hub. The V1 smartplug doesn’t repeat zwave, it is zigbee only so that one doesn’t matter as much. Everything else should be paired near the hub but if not it isn’t that big of a deal if it pairs correctly. The V2 smartplug will pair (zigbee) across the house but the zwave repeater in it, that you don’t see, won’t pair correctly, therefore won’t repeat zwave correctly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Question on Smart Plug Repeaters

Get the Aladdin Genie garage door opener. I installed that one in place of the zwave at my dads and my house and haven’t had a single problem out of them yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Question on Smart Plug Repeaters

The zigbee part pairs just fine far away but the secondary zwave repeater radio probably isn’t working like it should, that’s why you have to pair the V2 smart plugs close to the hub. This was straight out of supports mouth a while back. My dads at his house we’re all paired fine zigbee, but not zwave. Had to remove, reset, and re-pair all of his. Question on Smart Plug Repeaters

How far is the plug from the hub? Was the hub within 10 feet of the outlet when initially pairing it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Question on Smart Plug Repeaters

V2 would probably help but you must pair it and leave it beside the hub for 10 min for the zwave to optimize, then move it. I have posted other posts about this if you want more info on it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    V2 contact sensor sale

Just an FYI, if you need contact sensors they are on sale right now for $9.95 each or 9.99 can’t remember. I just picked up 7 for $62 (10% off also with Lowe’s card). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Iris Portal Survey

So someone has 400 devices? I would hate to move that system over! I don’t think I could get up to 400 devices if I tried! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

New Iris Cameras listed on Lowes.com

Just got off the phone with Iris support to ask them about removing an extra place that won't delete and we spun the conversation off on the new camera. Camera things: There will be four levels of sensitivity on the camera that you can adjust it for short or long range motion and the base is magnetic so the camera is easy to snap off for recharging and put back up. Also they are also running a promotion on the camera starting on the 14th, so I guess that would be a good time to look at them if you are considering one. Sounds pretty interesting, I might get one just to poke around with for places that don't have power easily accessible.

    Temperature Card Bug iOS

In the newest Iris app under climate > temp. It will show a device and the temperature but when you click it, it will open a device that isn’t it. For example I click the freezer temp and it pulls up the leak detector under the sink, which isn’t the freezer.

    Temperature Card Bug iOS

I love the fact my lights and switches are alphabetical so I don’t have to drag something all the way to the top of the list if it goes there. Also, my list on iOS, I can press edit and still drag them around if I wanted. I am not seeing where they locked that part down. I moved bar to the top and it stayed. 13. I have had this happen on a lot of my contact sensors V2. For example, I received a low battery email this morning and the contact was at 22%. I replaced the battery and the contact forgot it was even paired to my system. It isn’t just one that does this, it seems they all do it when you remove the battery. Any reason I am losing my contact sensor’s pairing from just swapping batteries? They were paired working a foot or so of the hub a while back but when the battery is pulled, so is the pairing. Iris 3.0 (Yes, it exists)

I’m having some odd behavior also. My V3 won’t process scenes all the way and will have to be ran several times. I put a bug report in on the other site so we will see. I think it has to do with some sluggishness which might be your alarm problem also. [emoji1745]‍[emoji3603] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Iris 3.0 (Yes, it exists)

I didn’t follow the instructions with mine, I created a new place for my new hub then un-paired a device, re-paired to the new hub and then went on to the next one. I setup rules last after everything was moved over. I did mine this way in case I had to stop, I wouldn’t have devices that didn’t work and I couldn’t control. This worked very well for me, also saved a ton of time by not having to reset devices, especially the water shut off valve under the house. I unpaired it and it was ready to pair back to the new hub. I did the wireless option, as I wanted to carry the hub to each one of my devices and pair it within feet of the switch, outlets, and other devices. Battery/wireless is great for this (except pairing cameras). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

See if this works. This is the alarm now. https://www.dropbox.com/s/kho0cup05bfdoow/Home%202.m4a?dl=0 Oh and the door bell is still just the three hub beep like it does with a door. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Iris 3.0 (Yes, it exists)

It does the same chime for doorbell and open contact as the older hub, I will double check again when I get home. I think it might have been on the default rule to beep hub. I did notice that the alarm tone has changed to something that sounds like an alarm now. I forgot to turn my alarm off from the indoor cameras and it went off. The cat took off running haha. I will see if I can record audio and put it on here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yes it does have ONE USB port on it. It is under the horseshoe part of the bottom beside the power and Ethernet. Yes it will be hidden under the hub, I will reply with a picture in a min. No, there isn’t any keyhole slots in it but they FINALLY put an anti skid pad on the bottom and it really stays put! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Iris 3.0 (Yes, it exists)

Update on the cameras, apparently the hub has to be hooked to Ethernet (hardwired) for the cameras to connect during the pairing process. Tech support is making a note of it and forwarding it to some team, I’m sure it isn’t supposed to be like that. Also I have a problem that she is forwarding and it is a big one, I think. If the hub is connected over WiFi and you reboot it, it won’t connect back to WiFi until you plug an Ethernet cable in. Not sure if it is just my hub but that seems like a pretty big issue to me. Hopefully they will resolve it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I didn’t have that many as you, I had around 110 devices to move over and only thing I am lacking is the cameras. I fought with one this evening and gave up and put it back on V2 since it was getting dark. Camera was the newer indoor/outdoor camera.
