  1. So this is simple but I am going to try and make an interface for this on the web portal but with the shutdown I don't know how long I will keep that up or use it. So, here it goes. 1.Get your camera username and password If you have reset your camera here is the username and password for V1 and V2 (Tested it after shutdown) username: alertme Password: nFQTEm*s67uxuF**a2vAth7RoJ If you have not reset then you can use the iris web portal (Before shutdown). Go to http://proxy.iriswebportal.com/cameras.html then double click the gear icon for you camera. You will see where it says "Look like chrome has removed this support for embedded logins. Click here to login to your camera" Click on the "Click Here" This will give you the URL of the camera and log you in. URL should look like this. You should also see your camera. http://CAMERAIP/img/snapshot.cgi?size=4&quality=1 2.Set FTP settings Where are going to be sending the camera command using the API and URL. It is super easy to do. Set the FTP servers IP address. http://CAMERAIP/adm/set_group.cgi?group=FTP&ftp1_server=FTPSERVERIP If this commanded worked it will return an OK Set the FTP servers username and password http://CAMERAIP/adm/set_group.cgi?group=FTP&ftp1_account=FTPACCOUNT&ftp1_passwd=FTPPASSWORD If this commanded worked it will return an OK Set the FTP path http://CAMERAIP/adm/set_group.cgi?group=FTP&ftp1_path=/FOLDERNAME If this commanded worked it will return an OK Set events THIS COMMAND IS FOR V1 http://CAMERAIP/adm/set_group.cgi?group=EVENT&event_pir=email:0;ftpu:1;httpn:1;smbc:0 If this commanded worked it will return an OK THIS COMMAND IS FOR V2 http://CAMERAIP/adm/set_group.cgi?group=EVENT&event1_entry=is=1|es=0,|et=3|acts=op1:0;op2:0;email:0;ftpu:1;im:0;httpn:1;httppost:0;wlled:0;smbc:0;sd:0;op3:0;op4:0;smbc_rec:0;sd_rec:0|ei=1|ea=avi,0,1,1|en=PIR-HTTP If this commanded worked it will return an OK And you are done the camera will keep working with Iris too. I am going to look at the timer settings next.

    My story.

So with the closing of Iris, I guess its time to tell my story. I started using Iris in the V1 days no beta just a user. I was happy with it. Then V2 came in and like everyone else I ran with the missing parts and was not okay with this. So I started to look around and saw commands getting sent to the server using WebSocket and knowing I can send commands with JavaScript over WebSockets I started working on the Iris Web Portal. When doing the testing for the web portal I saw a big bug in Iris so I called support and well that didn't go anywhere. I then I PMed with some people on this forum and that turned into a phone call, showed them what I could do with this bug and it needed to be patched. I then I got a call from the lead dev from Iris about the bug. A patch was put in place within a week and I was placed on the beta team. As for the Iris Web Portal. When we would have a monthly call the beta team would bring up what the community wanted and needed. We would get "We would look into it" or "It's on the road map" than I would build it on my portal in a matter of hours maybe days. Then force there hand or show them it could be done. This went on from about a year or 2. I was never a dev or anything like that but I knew more about Iris than may of the users did and talked with the devs weekly. We signed an NDA as part of the beta team so this is about as much as I can give out.

    Who hasn't migrated already?

arucus is still in the works but I also like to play with other hubs and devices. I am also using "Walmart" smart plugs too. I never like to be locked into 1 thing and I did it with Iris and it sucks so I am not going to let that happen again.

    Spectral for the Iris Cameras.

Hello Everyone, As you know I have made the Iris Web Portal and love giving solutions to problems. I am almost done with Spectral a website that will take over your cameras. This will work a lot like Iris did with cloud storage with viewing and also like you setup webhooks for IFTTT. This is limited right now for 100 videos do to server storage. Here is a preview below. I am taking 10 beta users right now and you need to have a V2 camera. https://spectral.smarthomeportal.net/ The camera will still work with Iris.

    Zwave maps

Well, I know on the portal now you can get a zwave network map. If you have one post it here. I would love everyone's help in decoding them. Things that I know 001 = Hub thicker line have more bandwidth

    Consolidated Camera Thread

@jeff909 I will help you out here. Spectral (Free) How it works: It works by letting the camera do most of the work. EX: The camera waits for motion then start recording a video. Once the video is done it uploads it over FTP to the site. The video is then set to your account and you can view it. Problems: Hardware limits of the cameras V2 camera max out at 30 sec clips, V1 are 10sec clips and V3 are not supported. Cool down is locked in at 10 secs. Smart Thi´╗┐ngs (Needs smart thing hub) How it works: It added to smart things as a motion sensor and can fire other devices and you can view images. Problems: Its only stills for right now but in this setup the cameras can be used with other systems too. Does not work with V3 that I know of. Blue Iris($59.95) How it works: It just uses the cameras as a IP camera and all the work is done on the Blue Iris Server (Windows only) Problems: You need a "server" computer for Blue Iris to run on 24/7 and maybe a battery backup (I would) but with this system there is no cool downs and unlimited (hard drive size) recording times. You iSpy connect (Free for Local viewing only, $7.95 Monthly for remote viewing) How it works: Just like Blue Iris it uses your cameras as IP cameras and all work is done on the iSpy server (Windows only) Problems: You will need a server here too. You are not limited on cool downs or recordings. You are limited on the free one with local viewing. I hope this helps someone.

    Desired outcome for Arcus.

Whatever the Arcus team wants to do with it. If they want me to host I will be happy to if they want me to give them the domain for like a Wiki page I will do that too. I just have it locked down so someone that didn't want to see Arcus work or wanted to make a quick buck didn't get it.

    Desired outcome for Arcus.

I have the domain that will be used for the open source project http://arcussmarthome.com/ the other site was just that someone that had the same name. Iris will be closed and lowes is not allowing the name Iris to be open so thats why the name was changed.
