    Apple HomeKit

Thanks... I wasn't aware smart things would work with home kit

    Apple HomeKit

I am kind of holding out for Apple Home Kit for my automation. My light switches are GE. Any chance these will work in the future since Apple relaxed their requirements?

    Nest Enters the Security Market

I have to agree with both points. I'm still leaning towards ring. Has anyone received their visa card?

    Nest Enters the Security Market

I have a Nest thermostat. I got an email today advertising their security system. Is this new?

    Iris Gen 1 Sensors

Thanks.... I'll get a look at those

    Iris Gen 1 Sensors

I have read everything in the forums and it doesn't seem that Iris gen 1 sensors will work with any platform. Is this the case?

    Researching the Ring.

I'm leaning towards ring for security and Wink for HA. Ring will control my door locks, has smoke detector listeners, keypad and panic buttons. Wink is missing these things however, will control my thermostat and lighting and is expandable. ST's is out because it won't control my nest thermostat. What am I missing?

    Wink

Is everything that works with Wink listed on their website. For example I have to Utilitech sirens that are not listed on their website. Is is possible they would be compatible?

    Here's what I know

Thanks and same.... I am not interested in adding a for ever monthly bill that could only go up

Automation first, Security not so much.

This system seems like a no go when it comes to security

    Researching the Ring.

sI have a question about the keypad.... The right hand side of the key pad has what appears to be 3 buttons(assuming away, home, off) surrounding a round circle. Is the round circle also a button. If it is, I would like to use it for a panic button if I go with Ring.

    Here's what I know

Security only Inexpensive to get started compared to other brands Monthly service fee but they obviously don't want to advertise that because I can't find their prices anywhere t

What Platform Should I Migrate To

Thanks.... We have a very similar approach to without the 6 dogs. I'm leaning to separating home automation and security. My wife only cares about the security. The home automation is for me because I like gadgets. Iris did it all. Why doesn't one of these other companies swoop in and buy iris. Obviously they are all missing a part of the whole puzzle

What Platform Should I Migrate To

Can we add simply safe to the sub-categories?
