    Door Chimes

On my v2 hub, I actually went in parallel with the piezo sounder and attached a 13v tolerant 3v driven optical relay(optocoupler)attached to one of those sirens on aftermarket vehicle alarms. Powered off my custom built UPS, which also powers the V2 hub on batt, with a USB adapter mod I also did. Wow... thinking about all the extra stuff I did to get my system golden, I sure hope Arcus comes out and at least gives us the power fail notifications. Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Tapatalk

Anybody got their pre-paid Visa card from Lowe's?

Mine shows it'll be delivered tomorrow. And I still have the full amount that was quoted. Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Tapatalk

Post When you get your Gift Card

Well, I hope they are pushing a sense of urgency, as all us Iris users are most likely using the card to reinvest into another platform Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Tapatalk

Did mine 1/31. Was a bit frustrated, as they wouldn't ship to PO box. Luckily, my father is retired, and has a different address Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Tapatalk
  6. So, has anyone heard or been successful in getting a web GUI from the wifi smart switches? With the impending shutdown, open source releasing, and Iris's customer support basically ignoring my question, I'd like to know.... My idea is to repurpose the smart switch to a LAN controllable switch, where I can remotely reset my cable modem, as needed... Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Tapatalk

Automation first, Security not so much.

+1 on this please..... Once I get my rebate card, I'll need to migrate this fast.... Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Tapatalk

What Platform Should I Migrate To

I see on your site you don't list Vera as an option. Bad experiences? Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Tapatalk

What Platform Should I Migrate To

@thegillion: Your vast knowledge, is there any platform that senses power failure and reverts to a backup power supply? Also, maybe we can reuse our v2 hubs(reflash to use for something else....?) Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Tapatalk

    V3 hubtear down.

Gillion, from the looks, does it appear to have the USB still onboard for the external modem? Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Tapatalk

IRIS Being shut down by Lowe's??

What the heck? And for people that utilize Iris for their sole solution, what support are they going to do? Maybe give us local processing? Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Tapatalk

    Hacking backup battery...

This is how the modification I made is setup. I notched the battery tray door for the power cable. I used an old USB A-B cable and chopped the B end off. Then I cut and insulated the data wires(green and white) leaving red and black. I took the red and black and ran them non the battery pads into the hole on the top part of the contact(its like they wanted me to do it!)then I connected the new backup power supply cord into my 12v to 5v converter with a USB female. I was going to just direct wire but then I thought if the converter ever fails, all I need is a USB power supply for a vehicle plug it in and voila! Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
