I am having trouble with the Schlage Door Lever. My PIN works and the buttons on the lock work. It just doesn't work from the app. If I use the lock and unlock buttons on the lock, the app will show the state within a few seconds. If I unlock with PIN, the app will say unlocked but will never go to Locked state even though the door did lock after about 10 seconds. If I Lock or Unlock from app, it says Locking or Unlocking but will never fully lock or unlock on door or in app status Buzz In does not work from the app. It will say it is unlocked, but it will never unlock the lock. In order to reset the app status when it is stuck on Locking, I have to use the lock or unlock buttons on the lock. The rule to unlock when alarm is turned off does not work. I just replaced the batteries. I thought the batteries were good, I was able to pair the lock to the hub and it did a zwave rebuild. About 6 hours later the door wasn't working and said 0 percent battery.
I am looking for a rule to turn on a light when the garage door is opened. I can only find a rule to turn on the light if a door sensor is opened, but not the garage door. I am also looking for a rule to notify me if the garage door is opened for a specific amount of time. Again, I can only choose the door sensors, not the garage door. And I am looking for a rule when the security alarm is turned on but a garage door is not closed, close it and send a message. I am allowed to do it for locks but not the garage door. There is also a rule to close the garage door if alarm is turned on, but that is not exactly what I am looking for.
A few days ago I installed two of the NYCE 4" door hinge sensors and I must say they were super easy to install (replacing previous hinges) and paired with my hub with no problems what so ever. The set screws provided also allowed me to adjust the setting so even if the door is even slightly opened it triggers the system, so now I can remotely determine if the door is actually closed and then activate the lock. Really Nice!!! And they blend right in completely. Nobody would ever know they are even there while the door is closed. We'll see how long the batteries last. I was a little hesitant to spend the extra money on them over simple Contact sensors, but our door frames do not really have nice flat spots to mount the Contact sensors and I thought these might be worth the little extra to be completely hidden. So far I am extremely happy with them and I just thought I'd pass it along.
