Warning sound before alarm is trigger?

That has caught me a couple times too. I did not hear anything from the keypad as I entered (keypad is next to door) and forgot the alarm was armed. One minute later the alarm sounded off and made its first telephone notification to my neighbor, who then called me before I could disarm the alarm and text him to tell him it was a false alarm and only me.

If the keypad would beep every 10 or 15 seconds, or something along those lines when counting down the user set delay that would be nice.

I agree with the others.  My keypad beeps when I enter my home and the alarm is armed.   I personally didn't like the voice coming from the hub and think it's a bad idea because it would be easy for a thief to locate the BRAIN of the system and destroy it with it being the source of the audio warnings.  I'd rather have the hub completely silent and remain safe, not announce where it's at.   If there are voice notifications it should be from some other device, not the hub in my opinion.    In an ideal world it would have been possible to mute the sounds on the hub but keep other sounds active.  But with the way the system is built, it's either all sounds or none which is kind of silly.   But if there isn't an option to mute just the hub, then I think not having it announce its presence is far more desirable.

So when that option is selected, it also makes the beeping when arming. Before I could have it only beep when a sensor was triggered to sound the alarm and not upon arming the system. I have a keypad upstairs and if I arm when we go to sleep, the beeping will more than likey wake up the kids. Solutions?

Agree the all or nothing rule is not the best.

I favor an option to keep the hub silent so as to disguise its location,

maybe also have an option to disable the LEDs too.

Being able to select which devices emit audible alerts on arm/disarm

or chime when a door or motion sensor are triggered would be nice too.

Those should be separate choices though.

That's totally funny if you think IRIS has any BRAIN...

there is a post around here where I asked the same question.

I had to re-enabled some card which I figured didn't apply to me.

look in "DOORS & LOCKS"...

"Seriously... You get what you pay for here..."

What does that mean? Is Iris free? Didn't I pay for the hardware

and are we not now forced to pay a monthly subscription fee?

Not to mention the toll of putting up with unresponsive and

malfunctioning hardware and software, and the aggravation that

has created for many including myself.

What is wrong with wanting the system to work in a manner that

makes life easier for me. Come to think of it, isn't that basically

their slogan?

"Life, made easier."

It's getting better but so far not as easy as it could be, or was

with the version 1 hub.

I looked and haven't found anything. I turn on sound and it beeps when arming, which I don't want. Any direct links for solution?
