schlage touchscreen deadbolt function issue

Finally got my new Schlage touchscreen dead bolt to work.  For those still frustrated it called for putting the iris hub 1 foot from the dead bolt in order to pair.

Now I have an issue re: functionality.  There are two rules that allow the dead bolt to lock/unlock when setting the Iris security alarm to arm/disarm.  When using the rule where you use the keypad to set the alarm is where this issue is.

When using the keypad to arm the alarm the deadbolt works perfectly, locking at the end of the warning beeps.  However, when disarming there can be as much as a 30 sec delay for the deadbolt to unlock after the system is disarmed..  30 sec may not sound like a lot unless you're standing outside in -9 degree weather.  Is there a way to fix this?

I have tried the other rule where the Schlage deadbolt controls arming and disarming the alarm and it works perfectly.  However, that means every time you use the deadbolt you also set the alarm.  So locking the door at night before going to bed is out.

You could setup a scene to unlock your door and then with a key fob use a presence rule or assign a button to run the scene.  I have also created a scene to lock my front door deadbolt every time the door closes.  The scene gets triggered by the contact sensor on the door.

I have a scene called "home" that unlocks the door, disarms the alarm, and turns the front porch lights on (as well as the living room lights). This scene runs automatically when I arrive home. I also have a button on my fob programmed to run this in case I am heading towards the door and I haven't seen the porch light come on yet.

Schlage deadbolts are finicky about notifying Iris of its status. This has long been recognized by Iris, and apparently much time was spent on it to no avail.  Here's a thread from almost a year ago:

I routinely receive notifications of a change in status several hours after I've actually locked or unlocked the door. The development team assigned someone to solve my problem in mid-2017. We talked and tested for months, but they must have abandoned the attempt to fix it because it is no better and I don't hear from the "Schlage team" any more.
